Bridgton Easy Riders October Meeting

Treasurer’s Report read by Mary Corthell, Treasurer

Minutes of April Meeting were read and approved

MEMBERSHIP: 28 family, 9 business memberships received so far

EQUIPMENT: One Tucker has a sticking brake

TRAILS:

  • Trail work volunteers will meet 8 AM Sundays at the Big Apple on Main St. next to Craftworks (Parking across street behind new the Chalmers building)
  • We need volunteers (especially younger folks) to brush trails
  • The bridge behind Everlast Roofing is done
  • In So. Bridgton there has been logging near where the trail crosses Rt. 107
  • The So. Bridgton RR bed trail has been widened
  • ITS 80 in Ridlonville needs work, since we did not groom there last year
  • Washout on ITS 80 was reported
  • There is a washout beside Darren Cross’s place, across from the Chamber
  • We will need a trail change on Home Run Rd
  • We are looking for a route across Moose Pond, as we cannot cross on the Causeway

OLD BUSINESS:

  • Fundraiser
    • We can buy 2 guns for the Gun Raffle: one from Bear Arms and one from Windham Weaponry
    • The cost to us will be under $1000 for both (less than half normal retail price). The warrantee stays with gun forever
    • Joanne Brill moved, Steve Brill seconded, that we sell 500 tickets, maximum, @ $10 each
    • Those present voted 22 yes, 0 opposed, 1 abstention
    • We will purchase the guns before we start selling tickets
    • The drawing will be held at the Club’s Poker Rally in Feb
  • Trail Maps
    • Nothing new to report

NEW BUSINESS:

  • Poker Rally will be Saturday, February 25th.

CLUB TRIP:

  • School vacation week is 2/19 – 25
  • The Club trip will be Feb. 7, 8, 9 (returning home Fri. 2/10)
  • Bill Preis will check on places to go, and will report back
